- Madame BensaïdGentle: cuts in once, fuller replies. French from France.

How it works
Speaking: 3 tasks, 12 minutes
- Guided interviewNo preparationSpeaking: 2 min
The examiner asks about you: your background, your work, your plans.
- InteractionPreparation: 2 minSpeaking: 3 min 30 s
You act out an everyday situation, and you ask the examiner the questions.
- Giving your point of viewNo preparationSpeaking: 4 min 30 s
You give and defend your opinion on a topic, with no preparation. The examiner may interrupt to ask about your arguments.
Use your microphone in the browser. The examiner speaks the questions aloud and replies to what you say.
Writing: 3 tasks, 60 minutes
- Message60 to 120 words
A message that describes, tells or explains something to one or more people.
- Article, letter or note120 to 150 words
An article, letter or note to several readers: an account of an experience, with your comments and arguments.
- Comparing two points of view120 to 180 words
You compare two points of view on a social issue, given in two documents, then give your own opinion.
A timer and a live word count help you stay within the official limits.
Every question and task here is original, written for this product. The score you get is therefore what you would get on material you have never seen, which is the situation on exam day. A score earned on questions you already knew tells you about your memory, not your level.

Questions
Is this the official test?
No. It is practice written to the published format of the TCF Canada. Prompts are our own. Scores are an AI estimate, not an official result.
How accurate is the score?
It follows the published level descriptors and was checked against 60 answers with known levels (36 speaking, 24 writing). Scores are an AI estimate, not an official result. We publish the numbers.
Why don't you sell “the 40 tests” or predict the questions?
A score earned on questions you have already met measures your memory, not your French. Our questions are original and new ones are added over time, so your score stays honest. We do not sell lists of past questions and we do not predict what will come up: nobody outside the exam can, and a prediction that reassures you is worth less than a score you can trust.
Which tasks can I practise?
The three speaking tasks (guided interview, interaction, giving your point of view) and the three writing tasks (message, article, letter or note, comparing two points of view) of the TCF Canada, plus timed listening and reading sets and two full-length mocks of all four sections.
What do I need?
A Google account to sign in, and a recent browser with a microphone, on a computer or a phone. Without a microphone you can type your spoken answers.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Write to us within 30 days of purchase and we refund you in full.
Does it cover the TEF Canada?
No. It covers the TCF Canada only. The TEF Canada is a different test and we do not prepare for it.
Which languages does it use?
You practise in French. The site and your feedback are available in French and in English.
What if my official result is under NCLC 7?
We add 60 days to your access, free. Conditions: you finished at least one full mock during your access, before your exam date, and you enter your four official scores in your account within 90 days of your exam date. One extension per purchase. We may ask for a copy of your result sheet (you can hide everything except the scores). This is in addition to the 30-day refund and to your statutory rights. We promise no result on the official test.
